Happy Wednesday reader friends! Today’s book review is A Holly, Bolly Christmas by Mikal Daw, and I’m happy to share my thoughts about this story which is part of the Something Borrowed collection.

Somehow, This Christmas by Teresa Tysinger — When not-so-merry mishaps threaten wedding planner Cate Forsyth’s holiday wedding and reputation, will her own happily ever after with sweetheart Noah Bennett melt away?
A Promise So Sweet by Andrea Boyd — Lydia Osborn hasn’t heard from her ex in ten years, so imagine her surprise when he shows up proposing marriage. Tis the season for love?
MY THOUGHTS
I absolutely loved reading any of Mikal Dawn’s books because anything she writes makes me laugh. Her stories are filled with humor and romance, and Maguire and Chahna’s story was no exception. I could picture the scene where Chahna finds out her dream wedding venue has been booked already, even though Maguire hasn’t proposed to her yet! Chahna’s parents, who are Bollywood actors, keep introducing her to other men hoping to deter her from marrying Maguire. This is a great read and I highly recommend reading A Holly, Bolly Christmas if you are looking for a fun rom/com story to read.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mikal Dawn is an inspirational romance author, wedding enthusiast, and proud military wife. By day, she works as an administrative assistant for an international ministry organization, serves in her church’s library, runs her kids to football, Tae Kwon Do, and figure skating, and drinks lots of coffee. By night, she pulls her hair out, wrestling with characters and muttering under her breath as she attempts to write while dinner is burning. And drinks lots of coffee. When she isn’t writing about faith, fun, and forever, she is obsessively scouring Pinterest (with coffee in hand, of course!) for wedding ideas for her characters.
Mikal holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an associate’s degree in Accounting (both from Liberty University), and has worked in accounting, as an assistant to authors, both in person and virtually (they kept her on her toes!). She currently works as an administrative assistant/office manager for an international sports ministry.
Her first love is Jesus Christ, her second love is her husband, third her kids, fourth is writing, and fifth is coffee. Or reading.
Nah, it’s coffee.
Born and raised just outside of Vancouver, Canada, Mikal has lived throughout the southern United States, currently residing in Nebraska (and loving it!) with her husband, three kids, and one lazy ferocious feline.
