My Thoughts:

Ahh, this story! *blissful sigh* It’s absolutely phenomenal! There isn’t a single thing about Amala and Marcus’s story that I didn’t absolutely love! I felt like I completely melted into this storyworld, and I did not want to leave when it was over, in fact I’m already itching to reread it! This novella made me so happy, and I had the biggest grin on my face when I turned the final page! Love, love, LOVED IT! A Snow White Christmas is not to be missed! Highly recommended.

Book Review: Claim My Heart

Happy Monday, friends! Today I’m thrilled to share with you my review of Claim My Heart by Mikal Dawn, this lovely novella released in 2019 as a part of the Once Upon a Christmas collection by Andrea Boyd, Mikal Dawn, Toni Shiloh, Angela Ruth Strong, and Jaycee Weaver. This is a Christmas story but it’s the perfect read for any time of year, so be sure to check it out if you haven’t already!

About the Book

Li Na and Colin Wen face off in a Mulan-esque courtroom battle where the real win might be losing their hearts.

Amazon | Goodreads

My Thoughts:

What an incredibly fun and enchanting story! I must confess that I have never seen Mulan, so this is the only novella in the collection that I was not familiar with its original fairytale, but that did not in any way hinder my enjoyment of the story! Li Na and Colin were such awesome characters! I couldn’t stop smiling while I read this novella, and I loved everything about it! Highly recommended. I cannot wait to go back and read Mikal’s novel, Count Me In! (And I totally plan to watch Mulan soon!)

Book Review: Lost Down Deep

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today I’m thrilled to share with you my review of Lost Down Deep (The Rose Tattoo Trilogy #1) by Sara Davison!

I absolutely loved this amazing romantic suspense novel! If you are a fan of Christian romantic suspense this is one you don’t wanna miss!

About the Book

She is the only one who can tell the police who attacked her in her home.
If only she could remember …
Summer Velasquez is on the run from a man she has no recollection of after an attack she can’t recall.
Every face in the crowd is a potential suspect, so how is Summer supposed to know who is a threat to her and who isn’t?
After fleeing her assailant and the parents who lied to her about what happened, she changes her name and seeks refuge in Elora, Ontario. The small town feels familiar, although she has no memory of ever having been here.
Even in what should be a safe place, she can’t shake the feeling that she is being watched.
When Ryan Taylor strolls into the Taste of Heaven Café where she works, Summer is immediately drawn to him. However, he may not be who he says he is either. As her suspicions grow, Summer prepares to run again.
But at least one person is determined to stop her. Permanently. And if she can’t remember who he is, this time he may succeed.

Amazon | Goodreads | Bookbub

My Thoughts:

This is a great romantic suspense novel by a new-to-me-author! I was quickly drawn into Summer’s story, I really liked her as a character, and I loved that even though she had amnesia one thing she hadn’t forgotten was her faith and her relationship with God, that was awesome!
I loved Jude, and I thought it was great that for a large portion of the book the author wrote him in such a way that it was hard to be 100 percent sure whether he was good or bad, which was total genius!
This book also has awesome secondary characters, I loved Nancy, Daphne, Shawn, and Cash to name just a few!
I loved that this book is primarily set in a small town, I don’t know if Elora is a real place or not, but either way I’d love to visit! And I hope the author will write more books set in this small town because I did not want to leave!
This book has a feel that is part Hallmark movie and part Lifetime Original Movie all combined with its own awesome brand of uniqueness!
Lost Down Deep is a fabulous book that is unlike anything I’ve ever read before!
This book hooked me at the beginning and kept me frantically flipping pages till all the mysteries were unraveled!
I highly recommend Lost Down Deep! I enjoyed it so much! And I look forward to reading more of Sara Davison’s books in the future!

My Thoughts:

What an absolutely lovely story! Toni Shiloh is one of my very favorite authors and she has hit it out of the park yet again! I will admit that for a good portion of I’ll Be Home I didn’t like Angel very much, but by the end of it she had won me over and I was so excited when I heard she would be getting her own story! All I Want did not disappoint! Every time Toni releases a new book I gain a new book boyfriend and Bishop was no exception, he is such an amazing hero, and I loved him so much! Bishop and Angel were perfect for each other and it was an absolute joy to watch their romance bloom! And Bishop’s daughter Marvel, oh my word, what an adorable sweetheart! Her obsession with Marvel superheroes was so much fun, and she never failed to make me smile and laugh, I loved her so much and I would love to read a story about her as an adult (pretty please, Toni?!) This excellent story gave me all the feels and I loved every single minute I spent reading it! I adore the entire Lewis family and I’m hoping for future books in this series, I’d love it if Eve, Gabe, and Noel each get their own book! All I Want is a must read that I most highly recommend!

About the Book

He needs a fake girlfriend to advance his career. She needs a pretend date to appease her mom. The solution for both? A contractual relationship with one clause: neither party can fall in love.

Vanessa Lim needs to find a date to her cousin’s wedding, before her mom arranges one for her. She agrees to accompany her colleague, Phil, to their company’s Christmas party on one condition. He acts as her doting boyfriend for a day.

This novella was originally published in the Amazon bestselling Sweet Christmas Kisses 5 boxed set.

Amazon | Goodreads | Bookbub

My Thoughts:

What a delightful story! I’ve been loving this author’s books and slowly making my way through her backlist. I was so looking forward to reading The Love Clause and it did not disappoint! We first met Philip in Liwen’s other romantic comedy, Puppy Dog Tales, in which he wasn’t the most likable character, but it was so great to get his backstory and see him grow as a character, and I totally grew to love him! Vanessa was an excellent heroine, I admired her determination and generous heart, and I was rooting for her from the start! I also loved Vanessa’s mom, she was such a hoot!
The Love Clause is a super cute and fun Christmas story that is the perfect escape from the holiday craziness. Grab your cozy blanket, cookies, and warm beverage of choice and snuggle up next to the Christmas tree with this adorable story that is sure to brighten your day!
I loved this story and can’t wait to read more of this author’s books!

Book Review: Unveiling Love: Episode I

Happy Wednesday, friends, and Happy early Thanksgiving to those who live in the USA! I just read my first book by Vanessa Riley and fell in love with her writing! I’m thrilled to share with you my review of Unveiling Love: Episode I

About the Book

Romantic Suspense in the courtrooms and hidden places of Romantic Regency England

Winning in the courts, vanquishing England’s foes on the battlefield, Barrington Norton has used these winner-take-all rules to script his life, but is London’s most distinguished mulatto barrister prepared to win the ultimate fight, restoring his wife’s love?

Amora Norton is running out of time. The shadows in her Egyptian mind, which threaten her sanity and alienate Barrington’s love, have returned. How many others will die if she can’t piece together her shattered memories? Can she trust that Barrington’s new found care is about saving their marriage rather than winning the trial of the century?

This is the first Regency Romance of four.

Dear Lovely Reader,
Unveiling Love is a serialized historical romance or soap opera told in episodes. Each episode averages three to eight chapters, about 18,000 to 30,000 words. Each episode resolves one issue. Emotional cliffhangers may be offered, but the plot, the action of the episode, will be complete in resolving this issue.

My promise to you is that the action will be compelling, the romance passionate, and the journey like nothing you’ve read before. I will tell you in the forward the length. This episode, Episode I, is eight chapters long, 28,000 words. Enjoy this Regency Romance.

Vanessa Riley

Amazon | Goodreads

My Thoughts:

What an awesome story! I have wanted to read a Vanessa Riley book for quite a while now and finally had a chance to get to one, and oh my word I loved this story! This is the first time I’ve read a serialized book and I absolutely loved the format, ts episode ended with just the right amount of resolution while at the same time whetting my story appetite so much that I need the second episode ASAP! I haven’t read a lot of romance novels in which the main characters are a married couple, and that is something that I absolutely loved about this story. Amora and Barrington each have their own wounds and their own secrets and they are each afraid of being a disappointment to the other, I was rooting for them from the start and I am so looking fward to seeing their marriage continue to grow and strengthen as the story . And the romance, oh my stars, can you say swoon?! I loved these characters and cannot wait to see what happens next and read the rest of their story! The historical detail was fabulous, I felt like I had been swept away into another time and place and I have now found a new favorite Regency author to add to my list! This story was amazing, I loved it, and I’m eagerly anticipating my next read from Vanessa Riley!
Highly recommended!

My Thoughts:

What a beautiful second chance romance, and marriage reconciliation story!
I’ve read and loved several of Liwen Y. Ho’s books and she is fast becoming one of my favorite authors! I absolutely loved this story! Matt and Olivia were such great characters, I loved them from the first scene on and I was rooting for them through the whole story! I also loved Micah, and the last chapter from his POV was absolutely darling!
This awesome story is told through flash backs and flash forwards, and while it took me a few minutes to get used to this storytelling style, as soon as I did I fell in love with it, it was perfect for this story and brilliantly written!
I loved this story from beginning to end and can’t wait to read Tropical Kiss and Tell (as well as the rest of Liwen’s backlist!)

Book Review: Jocelyn

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today I’m thrilled to be sharing with you my review of Jocelyn (Sewing in SoCal #2) by Sarah Monzon! This book is amazing, I absolutely loved it! Jocelyn is NOW AVAILABLE in paperback, Kindle, and on Kindle Unlimited, be sure to check it out!

About the Book

WWSOD—What would Scarlett O’Hara do?
Anything to survive, that’s what. But instead of a man-eating Southern belle in hoop skirts and big hats, my version of existence looks an awful lot like a financial conglomerate employee staring blankly at budget analysis spreadsheets. Either way, the motto has served me well most my life. Until now, that is. The corporate retreat location has just been announced, and this city girl is headed to a dude ranch in the country. How will Scarlett help me survive that? No, this time I’ll turn to the sage advice of preteen YouTubers and their ponies to keep me from making a fool of myself.
But who’s going to help me navigate the kind yet reticent cowboy in the black Stetson—the cattle ranch owner who’s slowly claiming corners of my heart?

Amazon | Goodreads

My Thoughts:

Wow! What a fantastic second installment in the Sewing in SoCal series! Sarah Monzon is one of my all time favorite authors, and I adored the first in this series, Molly! After meeting Jocelyn in the first book I was super excited when I found out her book would be next, and as soon as I first read the description of this story I knew it would be right up my alley, I grew up around cows, and I’ve been riding horses since I was a young child, and I love reading stories that feature a farm or ranch setting. I loved Jocelyn, I so admired her determination, and her heart for others. It was a joy to watch her find her way to the kind of life she’d always dreamed of. I wish she were real because I would love to be friends with her!And Malachi! Oh My Swoon, what a fantastic hero! I love him so much and he will always have a spot on my list of favorite Book Boyfriends! I loved his genuineness and his kind heart that always puts others first!I seriously have such a huge crush on him! It was such a joy to watch Jocelyn and Malachi’s relationship bloom, and I especially loved all their text message conversations! Jocelyn is a funny, highly entertaining, empathy building, and thought-provoking gem that I totally and completely loved! I most highly recommend Jocelyn (get it ASAP!) and cannot wait to read book 3 in the series, Nicole! (5 Stars!)
