My Thoughts:

Ahh, this story! *blissful sigh* It’s absolutely phenomenal! There isn’t a single thing about Amala and Marcus’s story that I didn’t absolutely love! I felt like I completely melted into this storyworld, and I did not want to leave when it was over, in fact I’m already itching to reread it! This novella made me so happy, and I had the biggest grin on my face when I turned the final page! Love, love, LOVED IT! A Snow White Christmas is not to be missed! Highly recommended.

(5 Stars!)

I received an ebook copy of this book from the publisher which did not influence my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions are one hundred percent my own.

Book Review: Claim My Heart

Happy Monday, friends! Today I’m thrilled to share with you my review of Claim My Heart by Mikal Dawn, this lovely novella released in 2019 as a part of the Once Upon a Christmas collection by Andrea Boyd, Mikal Dawn, Toni Shiloh, Angela Ruth Strong, and Jaycee Weaver. This is a Christmas story but it’s the perfect read for any time of year, so be sure to check it out if you haven’t already!

About the Book

Li Na and Colin Wen face off in a Mulan-esque courtroom battle where the real win might be losing their hearts.

Amazon | Goodreads

My Thoughts:

What an incredibly fun and enchanting story! I must confess that I have never seen Mulan, so this is the only novella in the collection that I was not familiar with its original fairytale, but that did not in any way hinder my enjoyment of the story! Li Na and Colin were such awesome characters! I couldn’t stop smiling while I read this novella, and I loved everything about it! Highly recommended. I cannot wait to go back and read Mikal’s novel, Count Me In! (And I totally plan to watch Mulan soon!)

FROM FAKE RELATIONSHIP TO TRUE LOVE

A broken engagement drives Susanna Kelly back to her hometown of Sweetheart, Texas and the arms of its quirky, lovable citizens. But her peaceful return to her roots is shattered when heart-shaped notes with sinister messages start appearing. The support of Daniel Sheppard, Asian American bestselling author and her childhood friend, gives her a much needed ally amidst the turmoil.

Daniel offers to play the role of her boyfriend to discourage the stalker, but Susanna resists. Pretending to be a couple? And with Daniel of all people? Who would buy it?

The note writer’s mind games force her to reconsider. Susanna accepts Daniel’s crazy plan, but her heart acts up whenever she’s near her decoy valentine. Comfortable, uncomplicated Daniel has turned into a full-grown man who makes her senses spin. As she tries to sort out her feelings, the make-believe romance has the opposite effect intended. Harmless notes turn into life-threatening accidents, and Daniel and Susanna must find out who’s behind the chaos before they can decide if their temporary relationship is a heaven-sent gift meant to last forever.

MY THOUGHTS

M. Michelle Derosier is a new to me author. I enjoyed reading Accepting Elijah’s Heart which involves a grieving widow trying to understand how a loving God could give her a wonderful husband only to take him away, Reina, the widow, doesn’t want to open herself up to love again after the death of her husband, but she has growing feelings for Elijah who came to her rescue and has fallen in love with her and her son. I am looking forward to reading more of M. Michelle Derosier’s books.
